The major goal of this year is to keep on maintaining the marine ecology database system. The primary object is to integrate and establish the past existing datasets collecting and surveying in the coastal and offshore island area. It would enhance the update and defend functions of the management system; moreover, each researcher oneself could maintain data conveniently. And it would attempt to bring into the biodiversity analysis tool, such as Species Richness Index, and display as space model using geographic information system.
The following benefits would be leaded form this project:
1. Establishment of data integrating platform Enhancing the update and renovate mechanism would profit researcher. We would design a storing up automatically system to change or storage in different platforms conveniently, and share and operate more easily.
2. Establishing exchanging information center Establishing the exchanging information center on the basis of XML is the optimum schema for exchanging standard.
3. Combine species richness of GIS system.
