The database for estimating the greenhouse-gas emissions from fishing crafts is strengthened in this project to improve the estimating programming system. The basic information and fuelling information of fishing crafts in 2008 are sorted and added to the database.? A new fishing-catch database is establichished and the history information of fishing catch is added. New web pages for inquiring greenhouse-gas emissions from fishing crafts are added to improve the dynamic interface leading to convenient inquiry.?
A revision on the estimating method of GHG from fishing crafts is made according to the revised emission factors suggested by IPCC 2006. The 2008 GHG inventory from fishing crafts is established. The fishing-fuel consumption is 881.3 ML, while the GHG emission from fishing crafts is 2,364.2 in the year of 2008.
The annual fishing fuel consumption, fuel cost, fishing catch, and catch valueare compiled for different fishery categories to study the relevance of fishing fuel consumption and fishing catch by the average fishing-catch per unit fuel-consumption. The fuel-cost per unit catch-value is also studied for different fishery categories. The fishing-catch for each 24-hour of leaving harbor is compared with CPUE(catch per unit effort). |
