Since the economic reforms in China, has become the world's largest fish-producing and exporting countries. It is worth noting that whether China will become a rival of Taiwan's exports of seafood products? Therefore, the project aims to construct the cross-strait industrial development trend indicators, used to analyze the future cross-strait seafood comparative advantage in the international market trends. This project aims to use data of seafood industry, using the indicators of industrial development, including cross dependent surveillance targets, the RCA, development index and other competitiveness indicators to measure the cross-strait relations aquatic competing. More specifically, the main findings are as follows: (1)Taiwan's seafood products have a high degree of future comparative advantage, while China is relatively disadvantage products. There are two such products were tuna/frozen products (SITC 03423) and other fish/frozen products (SITC 03428). (2) Taiwan and China compete with each other threatened seafood, including fish/fresh/live (SITC 03411), tuna/fresh/live/ frozen products (SITC 03414) and cuttlefish, squid, fresh/live/dried/salted fish (SITC 03637) in three products. (3) Future comparative disadvantage of Taiwan, while China is a high degree of comparative advantage products. There are nine products. |
