Species composition structure and related oceanographic conditions of set net fishing grounds in the northern coastal waters of Taiwan were studies based on the monthly in situ fishing and oceanographic data and collected to the landing data at five set net fishing grounds over the years, Rifeng, Kuangrong, Hsin-hsiehfa, Chaojin, and Manfeng, between October 2004 and June 2006. MDS was used to analyze the diversity of fishing composition of these five set net fishing grounds. In total, 202 species of fishes were identified in these fishing grounds. Results from MDS analysis indicated that species composition could be divided into three groups, with Rifeng being one group, Kuangrong, Hsin-hisehfa, and Chaojin being one group, Manfeng being one group. SIMPER analysis showed that the types of indicator fish species that differentiate each fishing ground are: Ephippus orbis at Rifeng, Auxis rochei rochei, Auxis thazard thazard, and Sarda orientalis at Kuangrong; Hsin-hisehfa, and Chaojin, Caranx ignobilis, and Carangoides hedlandensis. Results from ANOSIM analysis of indicated fish species to Spatial differences in grouping are: February and November, May and November, June and November, May and December, June and December. The landing records data over the years from five Set-Net fishing grounds. we could found the fishery yielding time of Rifeng fishing ground in West coast is every October to next year February, For Kuangrong, Hsin-hisehfa, and Chaojin fishing ground in East Coast is every February to June between, For Manfeng fishing ground in South Coast is every March to June.Furthermore, oceanographic and remote sensing satellite of sea surface temperature data gathered from the regions showed that variations in species composition at these five set net fishing grounds were effected by seasonal changes of different currents. |
