The aims of this project are as follows: (1) To carry out the literatures arrangement and analysis on the status of demersal fish resources within 3 NM from coastal line for several counties (2) To investigate the trawls, catches status, and resources change from between 3 NM and 12 NM from coastal line (3) To discuss the feasible prohibited fishing season and local management measures depending on the sea environments, fishing conditions and spawnining seasons of main targets.
This study tries to use two years for collecting the demersal fish resources distribution data of Taiwanese southwestern and northern waters within 12 NM from coasts, and reviews the current management measures on trawl fishery in order to establish the feasible management measures for ecosystem friendly and sustainable operation.The expected profits of this projected could be as follows: (1) To arrange the trawl fishing data of Taiwanese southwestern waters (2) To investigate the current status of trawl fishery and its long-term catches changing discrepancy (3) To establish the database of reproduction information for main fishing targets (4) To discuss review the current management measures on trawl, and to set up the feasible fishing closure season and local management measures. |
