The main tasks of this project are : (1) to standardize, based on 1982- 2010 Taiwanese distant long line fisheries’ catch and effort statistics in the Atlantic, the historic trend of abundance indices of the north albacore stock; (2) to convert, based on age and growth equation, on Taiwanese CAS (catch at size) into CAA (catch in age) of 1982-2010 Taiwanese albacore harvested in the North Atlantic; The above outcomes can be further analyzed and assessed to obtain the more correct information on the abacore resource condition. Moreover, that may make us to get more benefit and to utility this resource sustainablely. |
