The objective of current project is aim at collecting the risk factors assessment of developed countries and analyzing the appropriate responding strategies of foodborne disease incidence of seafood. Establishment of seafood safety monitor modeling of our country and protection of human health can be conducted by the present study. The purpose of the study can be accomplished by reviewing documents of risk factor evaluation and management for developed countries, such as Japan, European Community, Australia and New Zealand. Furthermore, the database can be built up for the seafood products of our country. Basically, the risk factors evaluated from different country do not demonstrate much differences among them. Most of the risks, veterinary medical drugs, agricultural chemicals, microorganisms, parasites, biotoxins and heavy metals, are systemically reviewed by each country. Typically, selected identified drugs or specific commodity of seafood were evaluated by some countries. However, risk factors assessment collection, sampling strategies and procedures and appropriate responses for food poisoning ourbreaks are major directions of this project. The collected documents were reviewed and revised by tableting and the results were shown in the final report.
The final results of present project offer important information for government to propose sanitary regulation and for industry as principles to reduce the occurrence of risk during operation, transportation and marketing. |
