The purpose of this project entitled “Frequency Converters on Energy-Saving Control of Freezers in Fishing Boats” is to install a frequency converter on a fishing boat to achieve the goal of energy saving. This project employs an embedded monitoring and control system-based programmable automation controller (PAC) to record voltage, current, and active power of driven motor as well as the flowing rate of Freon of the freezer. This project not only performs the field measurements of on-land freezers and fishing-boat freezers but also evaluates economic benefits of using frequency converters on energy saving of freezers. |
