In this project, a water oxygenic machine driven by windmill power is developed. This machine contains several parts such as windmill, rotation mechanism, water pump and conduit, rudder, water cup and floating base. Windmill operated in the conditions of low speed and high torque is used to taking water from the aquaculture fish farm to air. When the water with air drops down into fish farm, oxygen in air is then dissolved in water. With low speed wind tunnel, the machine is tested to demonstrate the availability and the rotation speed of windmill in term of wind speed and. Without any additional power, the windmill can start up on wind speed of 3.8m/s. Under the 5m/s wind speed, the RPM reaches 30m/s and picking up about 300L water. The water oxygenic machine is mounted on the floating base located on the surface of fish farm. The sea level of windmill is lower than ground land. The windmill needs higher wind speed of 4.5m/s than 3.8m/s measured on the ground to start up. High wind speed requirement makes windmill only operating on sufficiency wind speed energy on a few time. In this machine, a 1/4HP pump is designed to compressed water flowing in conduit attached on the backside of blades of the windmill.? The output end of conduit is build to have 90o with the horizontal axis of the blade. When the compressed water ejected from the conduit, thrust is generated to start the windmill. The windmill drove synchronous belt and water cup attached with the belt to taking up water in the fish farm to air for increasing the dissolved oxygen in water. We have completed the test of the water oxygenic machine in the filed of fish farm. The demonstration is done that the higher 2~6% dissolved oxygen is obtained in both water oxygenic machine and electrical waterwheel than only electrical waterwheel within 2 hours operation. |
