The goal of this study is to take the factor of target shift into consideration in the standardization of Indian yellowfin CPUE based on the information of observation data. Meanwhile, for the application of Stock Synthesis (SS3) in the following stock assessment of Indian yellowfin tuna, the corresponding data files will be constructed in this study. The main tasks involved in this study are 1. The collection of commercial catch and effort data and observed data, 2. Verification and analysis of commercial catch and effort data and observed data, 3. The standardization of CPUE using GAMs, and 4. The construction of data files for the following use of SS3 to implement the stock assessment of Indian yellowfin tuna. The result of this study will be expected to apply the relevant information to facilitate IOTC to fulfill the management of Indian yellowfin tuna. |
