The purpose of this project is to develop integrated grouper nursery and growout systems incorporating?advanced?automatic feeding?and grading technologies. The project will install recirculating water treatment systems at Taifer company's Huai-Lang plant and start a culture experiment aiming at raising the culture density to 30kg/m2 in the first?year and 100kg/m2 in the second year, about one hundred times larger than?traditional pond culture systems. This project would develop a spreading feeder technology and a novel grading equipment for the super-intensive production of grouper,?helping Taifer company to establish the first and largest grouper culture plant in Taiwan. The automatic feeding system and the grading technology will have potential uses for a wide variety of species for super-intensive aquaculture production. |
