1、Water temperature along the coastal was low during Jan. and Mar. (21.3~23.2℃). then, it increased sharply to about 28.5℃ at May. During May and Augster, it was at high (30~32℃).At September., it began to decrease to about 27~24.5℃( November ~December).
2、Salinity of the water was high during the first and the last three months of the year
(35~36 ppt). It was low and variable during high temperature season (28~33 ppt).
3、The concentration of suspending particle of the water was high during the northeast wind season (26.5~38.5 and45.5~55.3 ppm of the spring and of the winter, respectively). During hot season, it was low (28~33 ppm).
4、More matters covering the clutches during the hot seasons (May~Sep) than the other seasons, it was 0.35~0.55 g/ shell and 0.16~0.27 g/ shell, respectively.
5、Density of the planktonic larva of the oysters was lower during the hot season(0.34~0.09 ind’s/100L) .Two peaks occurred during third part of September and mid-October, the densities were high (21.3~35.3 ind’s/100L). However, no more peak occurred till middle-November, and the densities were very low. Densities of the planktonic larva of barnacles were still high before middle-November.
6、Density of the sedentary larva of the oysters on the clutches was lower during the hot season (0.21~0.88 ind’s/cm2). After middle-September, it raised to 5.10ind’s/cm2. The other peak occurred at the middle-October. No more peak occurred till middle December. There still had sedentary larva of the barnacles on the clutches at middle November.
7、Condition index of the oysters was 0.32~0.46 during January and April. It was at the highest condition of the year ( 0.51~0.60) during May and September, and dropped to 0.38~0.43 during October and December. Gonadsomatic index of the oysters was 0.08 at January and raised to 0.15 at Mar, then dropped to 0.07 at September, and arisee to 0.10~0.13. |
