Aquaculture of small abalone Haliotis divericolor supertexta has a high economic value and a mass production in Taiwan. But it still has several problems in cultural management of small abalone. Therefore, the present study will focus on the management technique and improve the survival rate of small abalone. Microbial probiotic is a term which, in aquaculture, usually refers to a bacterial supplement of a single or mixed culture of selected bacteria. The objective of this study was to evaluate if routine use of probiotic, immuno-stimulatant, could improve water quality and growth at culture of abalone. |
