A simple computer counting system integrating with the application of the image processing and the PLC automation control technology of fish larvae was developed in this research. The counting system consisted of three major parts (1) the fish larvae provided mechanism,(2) the image grabbing, processing and counting equipment and (3) the fish larvae exported mechanism. The operation was based on the alternative type of a double channels exchange counting method that poured the fry water into each counting platform in sequence by the artificial mode. After taking the image by the camera in one channel, the image processing technology simultaneously counted the fry quantity, and which was then poured out and gathered. At the mean time, the other channel was also relied on the same method to counting the fry number for time saving. The testing results showed that under water depth 1cm, the error coefficient was below 2.47% as the fish larvae was less then 200 individuals. It was also better than the error coefficient 15% by the artificial counting, 27.9 times of the time spent for the system, and the system could be used to solve the demands of the fisherman and entrepreneur. |
