Usually the marine casualty of fishing vessel will cause lots of serious loss and marine pollution, therefore, in order to promote the safety of the fishing vessel and crew, and avoid the occurrence of the marine casualty, the related work and guard measure need to be strengthened and extended. The final goal of the research for the fishing vessel safety is to strengthen the prevention work. The marine fishery industry has the high international characteristics, therefore how to collect the related specific information of the fishing vessel safety with respect to International Maritime Organization (IMO) and absorb the international experience is a very important task, which can be referred to improve and strengthen the fishery police in Taiwan. The main content of the project is to collect and analyze the recently new IMO specific information of fishing vessel safety. Based on the analytical results, we can further study the present status of the related law and regulations in Taiwan, and submit the valuable suggestions to improve them and strengthen the guard measure work for the Taiwan fishing vessel safety. The project has finished the analysis of the international regulation about the fishing boat safety, the self-checking menu and broache for the safety of the fishing boat and three training seminars for the fisherman. |
