The use of electric propulsion for fishing boats can help in manipulation improvement, velocity control, vibration and noise reduction, system downsizing and maintenance reduction. To maximize the performance of the propulsion system, control and manipulation is one of the key factors. Therefore, this project employs microcomputers and the so-called 'steer-by-wire' concept for implement. However, control of engine propulsion is the first target to fulfill in this project by using a microcomputer and programming with a man-machine interface. Therefore, the system can be downsized and the performance can be enhanced. This project will further design a microcomputer-based control system for electric propulsion system. The project objective is listed below: 1. Design and implement of microcomputer control for an engine propulsion system. 3. Design of microcomputer control for an electric propulsion system. |
