To establish the complete traceability system at 2010 is already the goal for EU and Japan. It will be the trend for other countries in the world. Taiwan is on the same road toward the same goal too.
In this project, development and assessment of seafood traceability system strategic planning procedures are studied. First, a fish market based one up/one down integrated information model will be generated. In addition, an aqua farm based mobility management system will be set up to ensure the aquaculture operation data can be integrated into the traceability system for aquaculture products.
For the first objective, the information system type and model are studied thoughtfully for all fish markets in Taiwan. A national type database system is generated to store the data providers and sellers from local fish markets to satisfy the requirement in the traceability system. Similarly a database system is set up for the storage of daily transaction from local fish markets.
For the second objective, an aqua farm based mobility management system is completed. The daily operations are transformed into a Pocket PC deployed software system for the six common fish type in Taiwan to toward the ubiquitous operation. |
