1. MOA Finds 4 Pet Food Products Non-Compliant in Random Check
On the 19th, Ministry of Agriculture announced that in collaboration with county and city governments, it has conducted routine and rolling inspections of pet food hygiene and safety. The number of samples tested has been increased. In the second quarter, besides the routine inspections, MOA also conducted special inspections including the “April-May Packaged Pet Food Special Inspection,” the “May Enhanced Cat Food Special Inspection,” and the “June Enhanced High-Risk Pet Food Manufacturer Special Inspection.” A total of 156 pet food samples were tested, including 32 dog-specific, 82 cat-specific, and 42 dog-and-cat joint products. Among them, 4 products were found to be non-compliant.
