- Protest of China’s grouper import ban mulled: The Council of Agriculture (COA) is considering to file a complaint with the WTO against a Chinese ban on grouper imports, after China claimed that it had detected the banned chemicals malachite green and crystal violet in groupers imported from Taiwan. The ban is the latest in a series of restrictions China imposed on Taiwanese farm products, including pineapples, custard apples and java apples.
- Fisheries Agency of Taiwan (FA) arranged rescue for crews on the aground Taiwanese vessel in Niue and will offer assistance to facilitate settlement on follow-up matters.

- Ending Hunger: Responding to the Zero Hunger project held by the Council of Agriculture (COA), Taiwan Ocean Conservation and Fisheries Sustainability Foundation starts to offer 1,000 mackerel lunch boxes every Monday to Friday, starting from June 13. The NT$60 dollar lunch boxes aim to provide adequate and nutritious food to older people and those who are disadvantaged, as well as assistance to farmers and fishers.
