- Eggs from Brazil recalled after labeling snafu: A batch of eggs from Brazil was removed from sale after the expiry date was mistakenly labeled as Oct. 5. The Ministry of Agriculture says eggs can be sold for 4 months, yet the labeling was a mistake and that is why they were launched a recall.
- Taiwan to send first batch of fresh pork Philippines on September 11: Taiwan was sending 22 metric tons of fresh pork to the Philippines, in a breakthrough for the hog industry. Six Taiwanese pork companies were inspected and approved for import by Philippine authorities.
