- Taiwan’s crop damages from May torrential rains estimated at over NT$15 million: The heavy rains in Taiwan in the latter half of May caused approximately NT$15.14 million (US$517,471) in damage to crops across the country, the Council of Agriculture (COA) said on May 29.
- Council of Agriculture calls for concern of ecological conservation regarding Miaoli solar farm approval: The Miaoli county government conditionally approved an application to build a planned solar factory on an 8.3 hectare plot in Jhusen (竹森), despite the issue of destroying a key leopard cat habitat. The Council of Agriculture (COA) solemnly declares the priority of ecological conservation over the case.
- Close season for larval anchovy fisheries around Taiwan gets underway for 2022: The Fisheries Agency of Taiwan (FA) is reminding that the close season for larval anchovy fisheries comes into effect in 9 cities and counties of Taiwan successively.
