- Schoolchildren to Get Grouper in Lunches once a month: At least one meal per month containing local grouper at elementary and junior-high schools nationwide will be provided until the end of the year.
- Wages for migrant fishers rise by US$100 this month: As the minimum monthly wage for new migrant fishers working on Taiwan’s distant-water fishing vessels has increased by US$100 (NT$2,992) this month, employers have until the end of this year to update the salaries of those on old contracts, or face penalties of up to NT$250,000 or revocation of their licenses for one year.
- Continuously advancing improved onshore living facilities for foreign crew members, from the aspects of, both, software and hardware: To enhance the rights and interests of foreign crew members, the Executive Yuan has promoted the "Action Plan for Fisheries and Human Rights", with "reinforcement of living conditions and social security" as one of its key strategies. Among them, the Fisheries Agency has been actively strengthening the installation of hardware facilities and software installation.
