- Taiwan remains alert for African swine fever: The National Immigration Agency yesterday repeated a call for people not to bring pork into Taiwan from areas affected by African swine fever, citing an increased number of contraventions by foreign nationals over the past two months.
- Council of Agriculture will provide export and marketing assistance for pomelo domestic market: the COA will help farmers by promoting the export of 1,000 tons, the domestic sale of 2,500 tons, and the use for processing of a further 2,500 tons. With marketing and sales channels open as normal, the price for pomelos will remain stable. Especially around the time of next month’s Mid-Autumn Festival, pomelo domestic market is expected to be flourishing.
