1. Taiwan questions Macau report of COVID on mangoes: Macau placed a ban on mango imports from a Taiwanese company after traces of the COVID-19 virus were allegedly detected in a shipment for the second time. Food and Drug Administration questions this report, and emphasizes that such claims were scientifically unfounded.
2. Marine and Fisheries Education Lesson Plan Competition: This contest, held by Taiwan Fishery Agency (FA) and Taiwan Aquaculture Development Foundation, aims to invite institutors to participate in the implementation of marine education. The deadline for online submission is August, 15.
3. Peach Season Starts in Taoyuan: Taoyuan city government starts to promote peaches from Lalashan, which are known for being sweet and juicy. The peaches are to be available online, as well as at series of agricultural exhibitions and sales activities.
