- Pineapple exports headed to Japan: At the news conference in Tainan city touting 14 tons of pineapples exports to Japan on April 6, the Council of Agriculture (COA) Minister, Chen Chi-Chun thanked Japanese for their enthusiastic support of Taiwanese agriculture. Even after China banned imports without warning, Taiwan’s growers have found other markets and not foiled by China.
- Taiwan Fisheries Agency Continues Safeguarding Foreign Crews’ Rights and Interests Collectively with Industry and International Human Rights Organizations: In response to the press conference on foreign crews held by GREENPEACE and its submission of the Policy Recommendation Paper on Fishing Crews’ Human Rights, the Fisheries Agency of Taiwan (TFA) states that Taiwan upholds human rights and that the government has been making efforts to protect the rights and interests of foreign crews on Taiwanese distant water fishing vessels and implement specifications contained in international conventions through amending relevant laws and regulations and increasing inspection coverage.

- New Build of Fishery Patrol Vessels: the Fisheries Agency of Taiwan (TFA) celebrates the build of two new fishery patrol vessels, designated to delivered in 2023. They will carry out control and inspection duties in the fishery zone outside coastal waters.
