- Regulations for Wholesale Markets Relaxed: In order to ensure stable supply of agricultural products, the Council of Agriculture (COA) announced that stalls in wholesale markets no longer have to suspend business for three days if a nearby seller tests positive for COVID-19.
- Taiwan Bans Import of Pesticide Tied to Neurological Harm and Environmental Pollution: Pesticide products containing chlorpyrifos are prohibited to import and produce since April 16 2022, and ban on processing and repackaging pesticide is set to start on Jan. 1, 2024. Total ban on pesticide products is set to start on Jan. 1, 2026.
- International Fisheries Observers and At-Sea Monitors Wanted: International fisheries observers are professionally trained to gather first-hand data on fishery catch. They also track interactions with marine mammals and inform sustainable fisheries management. The Fisheries Agency of Taiwan (TFA) has appointed Overseas Fisheries Development Council of the Republic of China (OFDC) to conduct the recruitment procedure. The deadline for employment application is May 4.
