1. MOA opens applications for the Agricultural Business Preparation Fund on 2/18
The Ministry of Agriculture's "Agricultural Business Preparation Fund for Young Farmers" program is aimed at new farmers aged 18 to 45 who have been engaged in farming for less than two years. Qualified applicants can receive up to 360,000 or 720,000 NTD for the first two years, as well as 120,000 NTD for the third year as agricultural business preparation funds. The application period for the first half of 2025 is from February 18 to March 7. Young farmers and graduates of agricultural schools are encouraged to apply. The Ministry of Agriculture especially reminds interested applicants to confirm the conditions for the third-year application extension in advance to avoid missing the key period for meeting the renewal requirements.
2. The Taiwan International Orchid Show will debut in Tainan on 3/8
The "2025 Asia Pacific Orchid Conference and Taiwan International Orchid Show," co-hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Tainan City Government, will be grandly held from March 8 to 23 at the Taiwan Orchid Biotechnology Park. This year, in addition to creating five major exhibition halls, the event will feature a variety of activities such as orchid care experience sharing and DIY floral art, allowing the public to experience orchid aesthetics in diverse ways.
