- Raw milk prices to go up by NT$2 per litre from June: Due to rise in feeds import cost, The Council of Agriculture (COA), in accordance with National Animal Industry Foundation (NAIF) has announced on May 20 that raw milk prices to go up by NT$2 per litre from June to December. The adjustment of price will also be evaluated every half a year.
- Taiwan seeks to export sugar apples to Japan: After Beijing banned imports of sugar apples, wax apples and pineapples from Taiwan, The Council of Agriculture (COA) has applied for the permit to export sugar apples to Japan by the end of this year, as part of its efforts to diversify Taiwan’s export markets.
