1.Fisheries Agency celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival with foreign crews in Badouzi fishing harbor 

To celebrate the coming Mid-Autumn Festival, the Fisheries Agency hosted a party in collaboration with the Keelung district fishermen's association at Badouzi Fishing Harbor on September 7^th. More than 100 foreign crews went to the party, enjoying Southeast Asian cuisine, free hair-cut service and Karaoke. To enhance crews' safety awareness, the Agency didn't only teach life-saving techniques during the party, but also distribute basic medical supplies for them.

2. Taiwan to subsidize protection of Formosan black bears

The Formosan black bear will be included in a subsidy program from October for the conservation of habitats and endangered animals as part of a wildlife protection initiative. Cash incentives will be provided to those who monitor and patrol areas frequented by the Formosan black bear as well as those reporting intrusions of the animal.
