1.President Tsai attends gala to honor 2021-2022's model and outstanding fishermen

An annual event in the fishing industry –“National Fishermen's Day”, held on September 23^rd and 24^th at Taitung Arts and Culture Center. President Tsai Ing-wen, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Agriculture Chen Tian-shou , and Fisheries Agency Director-General Chang Chih-sheng attended the award ceremony, acknowledging 24 “model fishermen”and 26 “outstanding fisherman” in 2021 and 2022 for their contribution to Taiwan's fisheries industry.

2.COA honors dozens for advances in rural economy

30 people received “Rural Elite Awards" from the Council of Agriculture (COA) for their contributions to the life, economy and ecology of rural areas on September 22^nd. The COA stated that Only 30 people were selected from 253 nominees for the award. Winners will have a chance to travel to rural areas in Japan to learn from their international peers.
