1. The resting place for foreign crew members in the Yanpu berthing area of Donggang Yanpu Fishing Port was completed and opened
To take care of the shore life of foreign crew members, the Fisheries Agency subsidized the Tung Kang Fishermen’s Association to set up a resting place for foreign crew members in the Yanpu berthing area of Donggang Yanpu Fishing Port. The Fisheries Agency said that 5 shower rooms, 1 prayer room and 1 resting room were set up in the Yanpu berthing area near the mooring area of fishing boats for the convenience of foreign crew members. Hot water is provided free of charge in the resting place, allowing foreign crew members to take a hot bath to warm their bodies and minds.

2. China lifts import bans for 63 Taiwanese companies
China's Taiwan Affairs Office (TAO) announced a partial lifting of the ban, saying that China's General Administration of Customs had officially authorized Customs Registration Codes for 63 food and beverage items made in Taiwan. The registration code enabled the Taiwanese companies making the 63 items, including Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc. (KKL), to export those products to China, effective Jan. 28.
